Day 4

We left Rome early by bus stopping nearby to tour the ancient villa ruins of Emperor Hadrian in Tivoli, known as Villa Adrianna. Along the way, our guide Marianna, educated us about the legacy of Roman Emperor Hadrian. He was known for building a great wall across Britain and the Pantheon. The villa was massive and spread across the beautiful landscaped hills. Excavation is still underway at the villa. A site to see how wealthy nobles lived.

We continued our bus travel along the shores of the Adriatic Sea to our destination in Vieste, located at the tip of the rugged Gargano Peninsula. We enjoyed dinner together at the Donlu Resturant and retired to the cliffside Hotel Seggio.
